Leadership & Management Training

Courtney HR ‘Leadership and Management for Small Businesses’ is the only one of its kind in the North West providing Leaders and Senior Managers with a 10 session intensive development programme. The course is unique in its approach to helping small business owners and its senior managers to move their business forward through enhanced leadership skills.
Covering key areas for business success such as ‘Personal Leadership’, ‘Highly Effective Leadership’, ‘How to Build Credible, Effective Relationships’ and ‘Creating a High Performance Culture’, delegates will also build a strong, supportive network of like minded business owners.
After the course, you will be able to convey your business plans with confidence and conviction; you will feel inspired to address poor working relationships; and you will have the skills and knowledge to develop a high performance culture to drive your business forward. You will also receive a ‘Certificate of Achievement’ demonstrating that you have received training from CIPD qualified professionals, counting towards your continuous professional development.
Personal Leadership
A commitment to practising personal leadership is the very foundation for effectively leading others. The Personal Leadership module presents a unique opportunity to take a closer look at you: that is your innate thoughts, patterns and behaviours that influence the way you live, and how this emerges within your professional capacity. During the module you will explore the concept of developing the right mindset; assessing your personal goals; and understanding your unique challenges.
Highly Effective Leadership
Having invested crucial time on Personal Leadership, the second module – Highly Effective Leadership – takes it up a notch, to focus on leadership within your business / workplace. This module will provide a space for you to develop your vision; to create the strategic plan to execute that vision, setting realistic goals. A key part of the day will also focus on ‘culture’: What is culture? Why is it important? What challenges do you face with your existing culture?
How to Build Credible, Effective Relationships
While Personal Leadership is all about your relationship with you, ‘How to build Credible, Effective Relationships’ shifts the focus to your relationship with others. There are many working relationships within an organisation and the effectiveness of these relationships can have a significant impact on the overall success of the organisation. This module focuses on key skills that will aid the development of credible, effective working relationships, and help you learn how to handle potentially difficult conversations/situations to help improve the workplace.
Building a High Performance Culture
The context that you operate in, greatly impacts your outcomes. Having invested time developing your approach to personal and workplace leadership and to developing credible, effective relationships, the final piece of the jigsaw is to proactively create the right conditions to harness a high performance culture
*With funding, the cost of the 10 session programme would be just £750 + VAT, which breaks down to just £75 per session.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
*Funding referred to is the Leadership & Management fund. Your £750 contribution is match funded by the funder, totalling £1,500. Eligibility is dependent upon eligibility criteria, which is determined by the funder. The £1,500 is initially paid by the course attendee, and the match funded amount, in this case £750 is then claimed back from the funder by the attendee.
The fund can pay out a maximum of £1,000, if this is matched by your business, however in this case, as our course is just £1,500, your 50% contribution is just £750, resulting in the funder contributing the same, £750.
