Courtney Consultancy… in the beginning

In 2007, in Liverpool Elaine Courtney started the business, combining years of experience with drive and ambition. Originally specialising in recruitment and with a growing portfolio of clients, it wasn’t too long before Elaine responded to increasing demand and broadened the scope of services to include HR Management, Support and Outsourcing. Excellent service, transparency and friendly support you can trust have always been our guiding principles and the Courtney Consultancy Ltd family has grown from strength to strength to include a team of 6 with further exciting expansion plans for 2011 to put the business on the map for good.

Elaine Courtney

Elaine Courtney

Elaine Courtney has a background in sales and recruitment, and along with studies of psychology and sociology, has an understanding of ‘people matters’ hence her passion for Human Resources. In her former roles, Elaine successfully developed strategies to respond to dynamic shifts in the recruitment industry and regularly exceeded sales targets, and it is this success, drive and dedication to providing an excellent service that has helped Elaine to create a strong, highly professional HR support organisation. After more than eight years in the industry, Elaine remains passionate about Human Resources and Recruitment and enjoys keeping up to date with Employment Law. An accomplished business professional, Elaine is very active in the business and community fabric of Liverpool serving both as an Official NWDA Women’s Enterprise Ambassador and is a Volunteer Panel Member of Enable North Ltd, part of the Sirolli Initiative, enabling enterprise in the local community. Further voluntary contributions to the business community include a role as a Mentor for the NWDA mentoring programme – providing free mentoring support to local small businesses that have been matched according to need, and more recently a Step Clever Mentor. Elaine was also selected as a Finalist in December 2009 for the Women in Business ‘Networker of the Year’ award. Courtney HR was recently selected by Business Link as a prime example of a business which has succeeded, despite facing barriers in the current climate, and overcoming them only to become stronger as a result – the Liverpool Daily Post ran a story on this and Business Link created a Case Study document on the business as a result. Courtney HR is now busier than ever, with more and more high profile organisations as clients across the North West, who are now turning to the business for HR training, expertise and consultancy.
